MTA NSW renews 2 year partnership with icare

The Motor Traders' Association of NSW is proud to announce the renewal of our partnership with icare NSW, to improve workplace safety and support the industry as it rapidly evolves. Through this two-year partnership, Motor Trades Care will be able to provide expert support and training to assist our Members in work health and safety, return to work, and safely transitioning towards electric vehicles in the coming years.

MTA NSW hosted their own regional competition in the lead up to the National World Skills Competition held next year in Melbourne. A selection of eight MTA NSW trained apprentices competed against each other in a series of paint and panel style challenges. Their skills were put to the test across disciplines ranging from spray painting to buffing and even design layout.

EV Delegation Report

In September 2022, the Motor Trade Association of Australia (MTAA) sent a delegation on a study tour to understand the changing landscape that zero and low-emission vehicles (ZLEVs) are likely to bring to the automotive industry in Australia. The delegation visited automotive industry associations, individual repair shops, dealerships, manufacturers and policymakers across Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
